I am struggling with the quiz portion of the assignment, as stated in another discussion, I am deaf, and do wear one hearing aid which is blue toothed to my hearing aid to my iPad. The problem is that I can’t really hear a lot of them due to my own limitations. I am trying to work through the quiz but cannot save portions that I know for example: “ima” that one is easy to hear but the other ones are not. I am still struggling through the quiz by getting all the nikkud vowels in place and hopefully pronouncing them correctly to hear somewhat. I wish there were some more Hebrew to written out modern Hebrew for the phonetic spelling/sounding that I can check myself against so I can be better successful at this.

This is going to take me more than the average 70 hours. 😀 But I will persevere!

Hey Karin, don’t worry about it. This is exactly why the course is freeform – you can just skip the listening exercises if they aren’t relevant to you. No need to bend over backwards over a task that isn’t that relevant to you anyway. You’re not missing anything by skipping it.

By the way, there is a phonetic spelling exercise. In the lesson itself there should be a materials tab, and in it you can print out PDFs, one of which is exactly what you’re looking for. I think it’s in the last video lesson.

Well I got 85 % so I’m happy with that for now. Some of the words sound so similar and so I thought I was hearing the same word again on the quiz, took me a good while going back and forth through tabs. 😁
