Greetings! Thank you Guy for a fantastic online course.

Should “Mark Complete/Incomplete” be on every single lesson and exercise? For example, I am not able to mark Lesson 1-3 as Complete. So each time I sign in, I am redirected to that lesson, even though right now I am about to begin Lesson 2-3. I think this is an issue for the Pronunciation Exercises. I am Deaf and not able to complete it, so it would be nice to have an option to mark it as complete regardless of whether it is actually done.

Also, for the Text Lesson for Intro to verbs #2, I believe גָ<b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>דַל is supposed to be (he) learns/is learning, not (he) learned/studied.

Once again, I really appreciate the course!!!

Hey Richard, thank you for the kind words! Sorry for the late reply, apparently the notification system wasn’t working properly. As for your questions:

    1. גָדַל (Gadal) is indeed “he grew”, not “he grows”. גָדֶל (Gadel) would be “he grows”.

    2. I’ll see what I can do about skipping exercises manually. Out of curiosity, how practically do you use the course as a deaf person? From looking at it, the transcription feature for the video lessons works well when I speak English, but when I switch to Hebrew it doesn’t detect it. Are you able to follow along with what is on the screen and figure out what the transcription is supposed to be?

Hi Guy. Yes, the captions in the video lessons help a lot. In the brief times you switched to Hebrew, I was able to figure out what you were saying without the captions.

Oh that’s great to know! I actually didn’t imagine it would be useful for deaf students, but that’s very pleasant to hear!

I have tried working with workbooks only to be frustrated. I have looked at a lot of different courses online and what convince me to take this course is you, Richard. you are Deaf like I am and I noticed in the intro that English captions were used to follow along. I am happy to find a course that actually keeps Deaf people in mind. Looking forward to starting this course!
